Get To Know The Alaska Range
Beautiful Wild Alaska
In the SW region of the iconic Alaska Range, Alaska's Game Management Unit 16B (GMU 16B) is a breathtaking expanse of wilderness, renowned for its diverse ecosystems and rich wildlife. Among the region's most sought-after species are black, brown, and grizzly bears, making it a premier destination for adventurous hunters. GMU 16B is also home to caribou, ram, and many other wild species. Partnering with SAGA provides a unique opportunity to explore this rugged terrain while pursuing these magnificent creatures.
Amenities Provided
Once you have landed, there will be a hike to the campsite that has already been set. I take a lot of time in the off season to scout and will have been to the area before you arrive to set camp and scout.
We sleep in, top of the line “pup” tents. Kuiu, Hilleberg, or Samsaya.
Freeze dried meals will be provided. Typically a hot breakfast and a hot dinner. Lunch consists of salami, cheese, and different kinds of high quality snacks.
*Any kind of dietary restriction can be accommodated.*
We will “spike” out for the duration of the pursuit. Once the trophy is earned, we will pack out the camp and the game to the nearest air strip where we will be flown back to Birchwood.
Your trophy will be fleshed and salted and turned over to an expeditor to ship to your desired taxidermist.
